Recommended Characters
① Your Own Character Roster:
Ranked by independent combat capability (strong standalone performance / able to carry the team solo / self-sustaining survivability). Next, prioritize survival supports, followed by off-field DPS, and finally all other characters.
Electro: Ineffa > Varesa > Raiden> Fischl > Sara > Iansan

Anemo: Chasca > Kazuha > Venti > Xianyun > Lan Yan > Jean

Cryo: Skirk > Wriothesley > Citlali > Escoffier > Shenhe > Ayaka > Rosaria > Charlotte

If you don't have the top 20 recommended characters, just use what you have.
If you're short on characters, change the Traveler's element. Anemo Traveler (with Viridescent Venerer set) is recommended this time for resistance shred. Electro Traveler's energy generation isn't great here, only switch if you really need an Electro character.
② Borrow Characters from Friends:
Borrow strong DPS characters from friends' support lists. Prioritize Chasca, Skirk, Wriothesley.
Chasca |
Skirk |
Wriothesley |
Chasca is very powerful, can carry the team alone or lead against bosses, especially with high Constellations.
Skirk has high DPS.
Wriothesley is a strong team leader.
They are all great choices.
If your friend has many C6 characters: pick one for an element you lack, or the one that's strong against specific bosses, or just someone you want to try.
③ Special Guest Characters (Recommended Support Picks):
Nahida |
Neuvillette |
Xingqiu |
Gaming |
Nahida: Pairs well with Electro early on, especially against the Jadeplume Terrorshroom Boss. If you get Nahida before it fight, pairing her with any Electro character makes it easy. Less recommended later as she can't benefit from Fantastical Blessings.
Neuvillette: is a 5-star Hydro Catalyst user that best functions as a Hydro DPS in Genshin Impact. “His greatness needs no words.” Your safety net. You can always trust him!
Xingqiu: Versatile. Can form a "National" team with Kuki Shinobu, trigger Electro-Charged with Ineffa, or freeze with Cryo units. His damage reduction and healing are also very useful.
Gaming: ideal for casual playstyles or new players–easy to operate with low resource investment. At C6, it gains Movement SPD boosts and interruption resistance, significantly boosting survivability.

Team Composition Tips
Borrow high-investment characters to tackle the BOSS in Act 6 and 8. Prioritize well-built Electro DPS (Wriothesley, Clorinde) and Cryo DPS (Skirk, Wriothesley, Kamisato Ayaka). Chasca can also work—just pair her with a Cryo and Electro teammate. These supports can be underbuilt, but off-field elemental applicators/dealers are preferred. Mid-to-late stages can be cleared with overpowered units like Neuvillette.

|
Early on, use Anemo units like Xianyun/Sucrose alongside off-field elemental applicators (Layla/Yae Miko/Ganyu) to trigger Swirl. Prioritize enemies that cluster easily and choose Anemo-Cryo/Anemo-Electro buffs early. Later, focus on Cryo/Electro buffs.
Top hidden team: Nahida/Xingqiu/Kuki Shinobu. This comp deals massive damage with just a high-investment Kuki (level/EM), offering maximum value at minimal cost. Consider this strong mid-to-late game option if you have the characters.
|
|
|
Another hidden powerhouse: Gaming (Wriothesley)/Xianyun/Chevreuse. A solid elemental synergy—resource-rich players can try it. Some stages feature plunge-attack-specific enemies, making this team highly effective.

|
|
|
|
For defense objectives like Act 4, bring Hydro + Cryo to freeze enemies (Xingqiu/Neuvillette are key). Alternatively, use sword-user charged attacks to knock back foes or Jean’s Gale Blade to stall. The other two slots can be low-investment supports.
Aim for 9★ total instead of 10★ to claim all rewards—sacrifice one 3-star rating on a BOSS stage to reduce pressure.
Boss Fight Tips
Boss Stages: Jadeplume Terrorshroom, Perpetual Mechanical Array, Maguu Kenki, and Solitary Suanni.
Jadeplume Terrorshroom |
Perpetual Mechanical Array |
Maguu Kenki |
Solitary Suanni |
Jadeplume Terrorshroom:
Becomes enraged after taking a certain amount of Electro DMG or Quicken/Aggravate/Spread reactions. After enraging, it becomes paralyzed, reducing all RES by 25%.
If you didn't get a good Electro character, save the trial Yae Miko for this boss. Attack it after it paralyzes.
Before the boss fight, try to get 1-2 Electro-related Fantastical Blessings for an easier time.
*Tip: Trial characters in Imaginarium Theater have weak stats now. Avoid using a full trial team for bosses; mix in 1 or 2 of your own characters.*
Recommended: Electro Characters.
Perpetual Mechanical Array:
No special gimmicks. Has 75% Physical RES and 10% All RES.
Locks health at 30% HP, splitting into 4 Ruin Sentinels. Destroy the glowing one to paralyze the core, then attack.
Recommended: Any Characters.
Maguu Kenki:
At <75% HP, it charges up a powerful downward slash – dodge this! Health-locked during charge, then enters Phase 2.
Phase 2 attacks involve clones and some have long dashes. Save your bursts and attack after it finishes dashing.
It blocks ranged attacks with a mask. Avoid using long-range characters.
Recommended: Avoid Ranged Attackers.
Solitary Suanni:
Has 70% Hydro & Anemo RES. After 20 seconds, uses an empowered Hydro skill. Use Cryo to Freeze it during this skill. Triggering Shatter, Melt, or Superconduct while Frozen will paralyze it.
Good options: Kazuha (Plunging Attack), Xianyun (Plunging Attack), Sacrificial Greatsword (Shatter), Gaming (if no other choice).
20 seconds after breaking the Hydro skill, it uses an Anemo skill. Destroy its 3 orbiting Anemo orbs with Pyro/Hydro/Electro/Cryo(anyone of them) to paralyze it. If you lack Cryo DPS, save the trial Ganyu specifically for this stage. With high-level Fantastical Blessings, even suboptimal teams can clear it.
Recommended: Cryo Characters.
Starting Strategy
Before starting, plan how to beat the Boss stages based on your characters. Decide which characters you must save.
Check the Boss List first! Know which bosses you'll face, then to plan who to save.
Buy Companions firstly after entering, buy other characters to handle the first two floors. Avoid depleting Yae Miko’s durability early, or she won’t be available for the Jadeplume Terrorshroom fight.
Floor 1 (Mob stage): Use Yumemizuki Mizuki + Kuki Shinobu + Layla + Sucrose.
Floors 2&3: Buy Fantastical Blessings to prepare for Floor 3 Boss and the Gatekeeper Stage. Choose Blessings based on your team; generally prioritize Cryo/Anemo-related and Superconduct-related ones.
Later Mobs: Prioritize "Unrestricted" stages like Ruin Guards, Ruin Sentinels& Clockwork Meka. Avoid stages requiring specific elements/characters.
Elite Mobs: Skip them unless confident – they can cause wipes.
Mysterious Gains is a must-buy, always take free ones (but skip any with negative effects or that cost currency).
Grab these buffs BEFORE buying Fantastical Blessings:
-Cheaper Fantastical Blessings
-Cheaper Companions
-Extra Phantasmal Flowers from fights
This lets you max out your Fantastical Blessings faster!
