Imaginarium Theater Full Guide (April) | Genshin Impact

The new April cycle of Imaginarium Theater is now live, and this season’s overall difficulty is fairly moderate. The bosses themselves do not have especially complicated mechanics, but if you want a smoother clear, the most important thing is still understanding which elemental checks matter and saving the right characters for the right acts.

What to know up front

Elements

• Act 3 – Emperor of Fire and Iron requires Hydro to break its Pyro armor.
• Act 6 –  Radiant Moongecko needs Geo damage or Claymore characters to break its Geo shield, and you should also bring a healer to remove the Radiant Cocoon debuff.
• Act 8 – Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant once again wants Hydro to deal with its Pyro shield.
• Extra Act 2 – Frozen can stop the Nemesis from entering its enhanced state.

Because of that, Hydro is by far the most valuable element this cycle, and you should prioritize it when choosing both characters and Brilliant Blessings.

Buff Recommendations

For Brilliant Blessings, prioritize the base bonuses for the three relevant reaction paths first:

• Crystal Base Form: 70% Hydro/Geo DMG Bonus, 75% Lunar Crystallize DMG Bonus
• Ice Crystal Base Form: 70% Cryo/Geo DMG Bonus
• Freeze Base Form: 40% Hydro/Cryo CRIT DMG

Your first priority should be the Hydro Crystal. The most valuable upgrade is the Level 4 third branch, “Extreme Fortress”, which gives 80% ATK and 60% HP.

Your second priority should be the Cyro Crystal. The main target here is the Level 4 third branch, “Extreme Sharpness”, which gives 80% CRIT DMG.

Act 3

Emperor of Fire and Iron
Tips: At the start of battle, the boss creates a Pyro armor over its head. You must use Hydro to break it.
Recommended Team
Wriothesley	Escoffier	Xingqiu	/
Make sure you do not waste all the usage counts of Mona and Xingqiu in the first two acts. In practice, the trial Wriothesley can work well here if you pair him with units like Escoffier, Xilonen, or Sucrose for RES shred, then use Xingqiu and Mona to break the shield quickly. This setup is also good enough to complete the star challenge.

 

Act 6

Radiant Moongecko
Tips:  At the start of the fight, the boss creates a 9-layer Geo shield in the center of the field. You need high-frequency Geo damage or claymore attacks to break it layer by layer.

Act 8

Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant
Tips: An old familiar face, we’ve dealt with this boss many times before.  Open by sprinting straight to the edge of the arena, swap to your Hydro unit. The boss will fire two Pyro-infused Flamewind Feathers into the ground near you — use Hydro damage to destroy them. After a few seconds, the boss will descend and hover at low altitude near your position. At this point, focus on applying Hydro to break its Pyro shield, knocking it down into a stunned state, which opens a window for your main burst rotation.

Act 10

Primo Geovishap
Tips:  During the fight, keep an eye on the message prompt at the top of the screen. When the boss begins charging its breath attack, the game will prompt you to counter the damage with a shield. If you do that successfully, the boss suffers 50% reduced All RES.

Lunar Mode: Arcana Challenges

Arcana Challenge 1

Consecrated Fanged Beast	Consecrated Scorpion	Consecrated Horned Crocodile		Consecrated Red Vulture
Tips: Main DPS with strong target-switching, like Neuvillette, Arlecchino, or Mavuika, work very well for guarding the revival point, and this cycle is noticeably easier than many of the previous ones.

Arcana Challenge 2

Battle-Hardened Elite Treasure Hoarder
Tips:  She can be Frozen, and that is the cleanest way to deal with this fight. During combat, when the boss summons its armor, freezing her will cause the armor to crash into it, dealing 5% HP damage. You can also try using Geo constructs to block the armor, or break it with Overloaded, but Overloaded is not realistically available in this season’s setup, so Freeze is the more practical solution.
