Most launch players will lose damage not because of stats, but because of bad team structure. In Neverness to Everness, if your comp doesn’t consistently trigger reactions, it simply won’t scale.
This guide focuses on three functional teams and Five More Teams which perfectly fit the Current Meta, Each team is structured with clear roles, reaction logic, and practical execution.

Boss Execution Team

Adler |
This team is built around multi-layered reaction stacking. Adler enables Incantation, which combines with Daffodill’s Chaos to trigger Scorch (DoT). Fadia and Daffodill enable Nova (delayed burst), and when both overlap, Discord is triggered—significantly accelerating break damage. The system runs multiple reactions simultaneously without requiring strict execution.
Fadia fundamentally changes survivability. By redirecting team damage to herself with a capped absorption threshold and non-lethal floor, she allows the team to maintain uptime under pressure. This creates a high-efficiency environment where DPS units can operate without interruption, making the comp extremely stable in extended boss fights.

Nanally |

|
|
This team is optimized around hit frequency and autonomous damage generation. Zero applies Cosmos, which combines with Nanally’s Anima to generate Blossom (auto-attacking entity). Jiuyuan adds grouping and enables additional reaction layering through Incantation (Hex). The result is a system where damage scales with the number of hits rather than burst windows.
Because multiple effects trigger independently, the team maintains constant pressure across large enemy groups. This makes it the most efficient setup for farming and wave-based content.

Rotation
- Open with Sakiri → group enemies

Chiz (or Zero) |
Adler |
|
Skia |
This team functions as a baseline progression setup. It maintains basic reaction capability while prioritizing survivability and accessibility. Adler provides shields and setup, Mint enhances team output, and Chiz handles primary damage through skill and ultimate cycles. Skia compensates for the lack of advanced defensive mechanics with healing.
The structure is simple but effective for early and midgame. However, it lacks the reaction density and scaling required for high-end content, making it a temporary solution rather than a final build.

Replace Chis with Daffodill as a priority, then transition into reaction-based comps, and add Nanally for scaling.

Hotori Solo-Carry Blossom Team

Hotori |
Jiuyuan |
Zero |
Mint
Sakiri
Haniel |
For players who joined during the second half of Version 1.0 and only pulled a high-investment Hotori, using Hotori as the main DPS is still a fairly suitable option. Thanks to the huge personal boost from her Awakenings, Hotori can serve as the team’s carry. Jiuyuan and Zero / Esper Zero are locked in to maintain the frequency of Blossom-generated Vita Buds and Vita Pistils. Although this setup lacks Nanally’s damage-doubling effect for Blossom damage, the team’s core logic still works.
The final slot depends on Hotori’s exact investment level. The lower Hotori’s investment is, the more recommended Mint becomes. The higher Hotori’s investment is, the stronger her own personal output becomes, so bringing another buffer becomes better. In that case, Sakiri or Haniel can be chosen.

Support |
|
Baicang |
Daffodill
Lacrimosa |
Haniel
Fadia |
Sakiri
Adler |
Baicang’s experience in early Version 1.1 is quite solid. Stage 10 offers an extremely satisfying mob-clearing environment, while the following two stages are more single-target focused, but at least they come with weakness buffs.
In terms of team building, Baicang strongly needs a Chaos teammate, meaning you choose between Daffodill and Lacrimosa. Since Lacrimosa’s power level is extremely high, in most cases there is no real need to consider Baicang as the main carry, so Daffodill is usually the default choice.
For support slots, the best option is to run both Haniel and Sakiri. For the remaining lower-priority slot, Daffodill or Fadia can be used. Daffodill is only recommended for mob-heavy stages, while Sakiri’s lower slot can be replaced by Adler.
|
Strengths |
Strong performance in mob-heavy stages Can take advantage of Discord and Scorch reactions Flexible support options Good early Version 1.1 Beyond the Rails performance |
|
Weaknesses |
Baicang needs a Chaos teammate to function smoothly If Lacrimosa is available, Baicang may lose main DPS priority Jiuyuan is only ideal in mob-heavy stages Lower ceiling than Lacrimosa-centered Discord teams |

Chiz |
Jiuyuan
Mint |
Hathor
|
Zero |
Chiz’s team building in Version 1.1 still follows the Charge-stacking setup. For the Anima slot, choose either Jiuyuan or Mint. For the Lakshana slot, choose either Hathor or Skia. The final slot is recommended to stay fixed as Cosmos Zero, ensuring the Charge Esper Cycle can be triggered consistently and further increasing Chiz’s Ultimate frequency.
At the moment, Chiz’s extremely high baseline values still make her a strong choice for full-star Beyond the Rails clears. However, as more limited S-Class main DPS characters continue to release, Chiz’s investment value will gradually decline. On top of that, Chiz’s damage delivery is relatively clunky. As future boss mechanics become more complex, Chiz will likely fade out of the mainstream meta over time.
|
Strengths |
Very high baseline damage Strong option for full-star Beyond the Rails clears Charge cycle increases Ultimate frequency Team structure is relatively clear and easy to understand |
|
Weaknesses |
Damage delivery can feel clunky Future boss mechanics may reduce her comfort Investment value may decline as more limited S-Class DPS units release Requires stable Charge triggering |

Lacrimosa Discord Team

|
Lacrimosa |
Daffodill
Hotori
|
Haniel
Fadia |
Sakiri |
Rather than saying Lacrimosa depends on Daffodill, it is more accurate to say that Lacrimosa depends on Sakiri. Besides Sakiri’s extremely high ATK buff, her first passive can provide an independent DoT damage multiplier when the target is affected by Scorch, making her a teammate Lacrimosa currently cannot give up.
For the Psyche teammate, Haniel is the best choice. If you have an A1 + signature Arc Fadia and are under heavy survival pressure, Fadia can also be used. As for Daffodill, if you have her at A1 + signature Arc, she is basically locked in. If not, or if she is only A0 + signature Arc, Hotori, Adler, and similar alternatives can be used instead.
At low to mid investment, Lacrimosa currently still cannot beat a fully developed Blossom team. However, Blossom teams have a relatively low spending ceiling. Once Lacrimosa reaches around A3 + signature Arc or A4 + signature Arc, she becomes stronger than Blossom teams at the same overall investment level.
|
Strengths |
Extremely high ceiling with investment Strong single-target and DoT-oriented damage potential Sakiri greatly improves Lacrimosa’s damage output Can surpass Blossom teams at higher investment |
|
Weaknesses |
Mid-to-low investment may still lose to complete Blossom teams Strongly relies on specific support units Daffodill’s value depends heavily on her own investment Less beginner-friendly than Blossom teams |

Hotori |
This team reached its fully optimized form very quickly back in Version 1.0. Thanks to Nanally and Jiuyuan’s damage-doubling mechanics for Blossom flowers, Blossom teams currently have an extremely high floor while requiring relatively low investment. Even at a full A0 + signature Arc setup, Blossom flowers can account for around 40% of total damage, so the gap between this team and higher-investment teams is not actually that large. It is a genuine breath of fresh air in the current meta.
At high investment, Lacrimosa can surpass Nanally thanks to her powerful Awakening upgrades. However, launch DPS characters generally serve more of a transitional role, so unless you are pulling for personal preference, there is no real need to force a high-investment build. Because Nanally performs better at low investment, her Blossom team takes first place in this team recommendation list.

Conclusion
If a team fails, it is usually not due to stats—it is due to missing reaction loops and poor role distribution. Early roster strength directly impacts progression efficiency. Securing core units reduces both time investment and mechanical difficulty.
