Changes and Additions in ZZZ 2.1
Lucia

Lucia is an S-tier Ether Rupture support and one of the strongest supports Zenless Zone Zero has been so far. She debuts as better alternative for Pan Yinhu. She’s not just ”good”, she redefine how Rupture teams operate. Lucia’s entire kit revolves around Dream Points and Dream State, a unique mechanic that enhances both her own abilities and the team’s performance.
While in Lucia performs constant Aftershocks, dealing off-field Ether damage and granting the team massive buffs like increased Max HP, Sheer Force, and CRIT Damage through her “Darkbreaker” effect. Her Core Passive, Lost Nocturne, also boosts the team’s Max HP and grants a consistent 20% damage increase via Dreamer’s Nursery Rhyme.
Lucia shines bright in the Rupture team comps. The top-performing team right now is Yixuan + Ju Fufu + Lucia, which can dominate currently Deadly Assualt with 40k+ scores. She also works decently with Manato as a free option, forming a solid F2P core alongside Koleda or Lucy. While she can technically support non-Rupture DPS like Anby or Miyabi, her impact drops significantly outside Rupture-focused lineups.
Manato

Manato is a solid A-rank Fire Rupture DPS from Spook Shack, free in Version 2.3. He’s an on-field brawler who trades HP for power—draining health to enter Molten Edge, where his attacks gain Fire damage, +10% CRIT Rate, +20% Fire DMG, and boosted CRIT DMG and Adrenaline generation. Manato’s gameplay revolves around maintaining Molten Edge, managing HP, and timing EX Special “Return to Ashes” to heal for 33% HP.
Manato doesn’t regenerate Adrenaline passively, so he must stay active in combat to build it up. His assist follow-up is a major damage source, chaining extra slashes that consume HP but generate more Adrenaline. He heals through Remnant Flame stacks gained from Chain Attacks and Ultimates, creating a loop of HP drain and recovery.
With Mindscapes, M2 lets him trigger assist follow-ups on-field, while M6 adds more Fire DMG and synergy with his special attacks—both highly recommended.

Rankings Explanations
The above tier list is divided into three parts: Main DPS, Stun, and Support:
- Main DPS
In this section you will find a variety of Attack and Anomaly characters. They usually serve as you team’s primary damage dealers. Take down enemies while your other characters offer support through buffs, control, or utility rather than sheer firepower.
- Stun
These characters fulfill the Stun role and boast a high Impact stat, allowing them to rapidly fill an enemy’s Daze bar and bring them to a stunned state.
Stunning enemies is the main source to trigger Chain attacks, one of the game’s core combat mechanics. Nearly every team benefit from including at least one Stun character to set up Chain attacks.
- Support
Agents in this section excel by offering extra DPS, defensive or offensive utility. They also have impactful buffs or debuffs that will enhance your team’s performance in many specific mechanics.

Essential Considerations Before Your Pulls
When pulling characters, it’s important to keep in mind the following factors:
- Fun and Feel: Would you enjoy grinding with an S-Rank character you don’t vibe with, or have a blast playing an A-Rank that clicks with your style? Tier lists don’t measure fun---some top-tier characters just aren’t fun for everyone.
- Style: You're likely to enjoy and perform better with characters whose design and personality align with you. A player who loves a good-looking character will typically end up performing better on it as well.
- Strength: Naturally, some characters deal more damage or offer greater utility under ideal conditions. If you can fully leverage their potential, they can carry you through tough parts of the game with ease.
- Synergies: There are many synergies in the game. Many characters only unlock their full potential by being paired with teammates of the same attributes or faction.
Conclusion
The above is the latest character strength ranking for Version 2.3. Hope this helps with your pulling plans!
