Lynae: A Pioneer of a New Mechanic

	A new battle mechanic, the Off-Tune Mechanic, has been added in Version 3.0 for Resonator combat. The blonde powerhouse Lynae is closely tied to this new mechanic and will shine in Version 3. Beyond the new mechanic, Lynae also excels in both DPS and support, making her a solid choice for daily exploration as well.

Cartethyia: She’s Super Strong on Her Own

	As of the current version, Cartethyia remains one of the strongest characters in the game. She can switch between Cartethyia and Fleurdelys forms to deal truly explosive damage. She provides some Aero Erosion herself, making her DPS much smoother, and her roughly 50k HP gives her exceptionally high survivability. Her performance in Tactical Hologram and Tower of Adversity has been outstanding!

Ciaccona: Cartethyia’s Best Support

	It’s recommended to pull for Ciaccona only if you already have Cartethyia. Ciaccona provides ample Aero Erosion, perfectly complementing Cartethyia—especially if your Cartethyia doesn’t have a 3-Chain setup. Traction can also help cover some of Cartethyia’s weaknesses in the Whimpering Wastes dungeon. Her support for Aero characters becomes even stronger if you have her weapon, Woodland Aria. Other Aero characters, like Jiyan, can also benefit from her, but it will require good execution on your part.

Mornye: probably the most universally useful support in the 3.0 update

	Mornye is likely Version 3’s Shorekeeper. She’s closely tied to the new Off-Tune Mechanic and provides both healing and powerful support abilities, such as resistance to interruption, defense buffs, and damage boosts. She’s definitely a character worth pulling for. In Version 3, you definitely can’t avoid the Off-Tune Mechanic, and Mornye’s synergy with future new characters is something to look forward to.

Augusta: A Tough Lady That Excels Against Hard Enemies

	Augusta can take on pretty much any tough enemy, and as the strongest Electro unit right now, her damage is insane. That time-stop mechanic? Super flashy and just feels awesome to use. Pair her up with Iuno, and you’ve got one of the top 2–3 teams in both Tower of Adversity and Whimpering Wastes—she’s an absolute beast.

Iuno: The Moon Goddess Is a Total Beast

	Iuno is super versatile—she’s got shields, damage, healing, and buffs all rolled into one. I’d personally recommend pulling Iuno if you already have Augusta, but even on her own, she’s a really strong character. If you can snag her Resonance Chain, her DPS won’t lag behind any other main damage dealer.

WuWa 3.0 Weapons

All six characters’ signature weapons not only match their designs really well, but are also genuinely useful.

Stat-wise, Cartethyia’s weapon scales with HP, Mornye’s weapon scales with Defense, while the other four focus on Crit Rate or Crit Damage.

In terms of effects:

• Defier’s Thorn (Cartethyia), Thunderflare Dominion (Augusta), and Moongazer’s Sigil (Iuno) are all centered around giving strong self-buffs.
• Spectrum Blaster (Lynae) and Woodland Aria (Ciaccona) provide solid self buffs while also offering team-wide bonuses.
• Starfield Calibrator (Mornye) is a pure support-oriented weapon, designed to empower teammates.

 

Overall Recommendation

Before jumping in, remember that the best character is always the one you enjoy playing the most. Design, gameplay feel, and personal preference all matter when deciding who to pull for.

The new characters bring fresh mechanics, so they’re definitely fun to play in Version 3. That said, Mornye is the one I’d recommend more—she’s just way more versatile and fits into almost any team.

Rerun characters are really up to your personal needs. If you want to pull Resonance Chain, I’d personally recommend Cartethyia.

If your goal is to score well in the Whimpering Wastes dungeon, Augusta’s team performs exceptionally after equipping the Plunderer Captain’s Seal token—only slightly behind Phrolova’s team in terms of points.

Prioritize pulling weapons for DPS characters first

If you’re going for weapons, always prioritize DPS units. Cartethyia especially needs her signature weapon Defier’s Thorn. Without it, her gameplay experience drops significantly.

Save Your Pulls for Future Characters

Of course, skipping these characters and saving for future ones is also a perfectly valid option. Personally, I really like the pink-haired girl Aemeath, and I’ve already saved up a lot of Astrite for her. Both she and the cool blond guy Luuk Herssen are rumored to arrive in Version 3.1.
