Release Date:

Wuthering Waves version 2.7 will be released on October 10, 2025 (UTC+8).

 

Character Schedule:

Version 2.7 of Wuthering Waves introduce two new 5-star Resonators: Galbrena and Qiuyuan, while Lupa and Cartethyia will obtain their first rerun at two different phase of Banners.

New Character (Resonator)

Galbrena

Rarity: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Element：Fusion | Weapon：Pistols

Galberna is a 5-Star Fusion character wielding Pistols. She may become the new Fusion main DPS, especially since Lupa's role leans more toward sub-DPS. The synergie between them will maybe play a nice role in Team Fire at the new upcoming version!

Overall, According to Galbrena's kit, Galbrena has quite a few self-synergies. At level 01, she already has 120% Fusion damage boost and does not require Echo teammates other than Qiu Yuan.

Qiu Yuan

Rarity: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐｜Element: Aero｜Weapon：Sword

Qiuyuan is a 5-star Aero character wielding a Sword, perfectly matching his "The lone wayfaring swordsman" designation. He excels at applying pressure through rapid normal attacks and stacking Resonance.

As a teammate for Galbrena, Qiu Yuan's C1 provides interrupt resistance and minor self-synergy, C2 enhances support capabilities, C3 enables her to function as a DPS. In terms of Resonance Chains, Qiu Yuan's upgrades are consistently focused on her independent combat potential. Overall, he offers versatile team options: besides being Galbrena's best partner, he also fits well in Phrolova teams. However, at C0, Qiu Yuan remains primarily a sub-DPS.

Lupa is a 5 - star Resonato, categorized under Fusion and using a Broadblade. She is highly effective as a support within Fusion - based teams and can also deal considerable individual damage.

Cartethyia

Rarity: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ｜ Element：Aero ｜ Weapon: Sword

Cartethyia is an Aero Sword character. In her normal state (Cartethyia), she fights in a conventional wind-element DPS style—fast, fluid, and aggressive. However, once Cartethyia accumulates enough power and unleashes her Resonance Liberation, she transforms into her adult form (Fleurdelys), activating Fleurdelys state. After casting Resonance Liberation, the adult Cartethyia form becomes a permanent state.

NEW Echo Sets

Judging from the effects, Havoc combined with Resonance Liberation, it's highly likely that Chisa in the 2.8 banner will be a Resonance Liberation + Havoc-effect healer. That said, there's also a chance she could be meant for the Havoc Rover. If Havoc Rover actually gets buffed, that would be truly terrifying.

 

New Weekly Boss

Also, version 2.7 will introduce abrand new weekly boss, Thrronodian Leviathan. And this update will also mark the conclusion of the story.
