If your brain lights up when HSR throws you a “read the rule, solve the fight” stage, Remnants of the Twilight is pure candy. It’s a limited-time, day-unlocked challenge set with Easy / Hard / Nightmare runs, and this guide is here to help you clear goals cleanly—without turning every reset into a personal grudge match.

What is Remnants of the Twilight?
Remnants of the Twilight is HSR 3.8’s mini “daily puzzle” combat event, running Jan 7–Feb 9, 2026 (server time). Each day unlocks a new stage (5 total), and every stage has Easy / Hard / Nightmare difficulties with its own gimmick—back-row targets, HP going below zero until a settlement turn, HP-Count knockdowns, split battlefields with revive rules, and even the Mermaid transformation you must manage. The vibe is simple: read the mechanic, build a comp that abuses it, clear objectives, and scoop up rewards. If your roster is stacked, some days are safely auto-able.
Day 1: Earthshaker Leo
Mechanics Analysis
Day 1 (Earthshaker Leo) revolves around “Back Row Targets”: some enemies spawn in the back row and can’t be targeted by Single-Target or Blast attacks, so you need AoE/Bounce/Follow-Up hits to clear them. Each back-row kill ramps your damage vs the boss up to 2000% (≈20×), but the bonus is removed when Leo phase-changes.
On Nightmare, a back-row Spirithief is “locked.” You must hit it with Skill and Ultimate in the order shown on its prompt (sometimes Skill → Ult, sometimes Ult → Skill). Only then will it be removed.

Make sure Fugue, The Dahlia, and Lingsha keep an Ultimate ready. Once you’ve cleared all three Spirithiefs, you can auto the rest to the finish. |

Day 2 : Corrupting Shadowfiend
Mechanics Analysis
Day 2 (Corrupting Shadowfiend) is built around “HP Overload.” Both allies and enemies can be pushed below 0 HP without immediately falling. When the action-bar unit “Overload Settlement” takes its turn, the game “settles” HP: any unit still below 0 gets finished off by fatal damage. While any enemy summons are still alive, all enemy targets take 99% reduced damage—so you’re meant to clear summons first, then quickly close out the boss.
On Nightmare, all enemies deal much more damage, so survivability becomes the main check.

Pick two from the top row and two from the bottom row to form your team. Play it slow—chip the boss down safely and don’t rush. If your account is well-built, you can just auto the run. |

Day 3: Greatsword Guardian
Mechanics Analysis
Day 3 (Greatsword Guardian) is all about “HP Count.” Instead of losing normal HP when hit, both allies and enemies lose HP Count, and a unit is knocked down when its HP Count reaches 0. Allies can restore HP Count by defeating enemies, so you generally focus targets with lower HP Count first and try to let your low-count ally land the finishing blow to refill.
Nightmare: your team starts with lower HP Count while enemies start higher, so knockdowns happen faster. Healing/shields can’t prevent HP Count loss, so high hit-frequency teams help.

Day 4: Synergy Duo
Mechanics Analysis
Day 4 (Synergy Duo) uses a Dual Battlefield: your team is split into two separate arenas (Black Duelist side vs White Guard side), and units can’t directly target enemies on the other side, so each half must handle its own boss while sharing SP. The key win condition is keeping boss revives at 0—if you kill one boss while the other lives, it will come back on its next turn, so you must sync HP and finish both close together. Nightmare also restricts you to your own characters only, and the bosses gain damage bonus every time they act.
Weakness tips: Black = Physical/Lightning/Quantum, White = Ice/Lightning/Wind

Day 5: Elegy Siren
Mechanics Analysis
Day 5 — “Elegy Siren” (incl. Nightmare) centers on Phantom Illusion: after the boss takes a certain number of allied hits, one of your characters is transformed into a controllable “Hallucinogenic Mermaid.” This Mermaid can’t be healed or shielded, and if she is killed, she explodes and deals massive damage to your whole team. While transformed, her Skill applies a Max-HP–based DoT and can trigger extra DoT damage, while her Basic ATK dispels Phantom Illusion (ends the Mermaid state safely).
Full-star goal (Hard & Nightmare): keep the Mermaid’s fatal-damage count < 2 (so 0–1 deaths).
Nightmare: the boss’s DoT on allies cannot be dispelled, and no trial characters are available.

Conclusion
This event is basically a roster check and a mentality check: once you respect the gimmick, most days go from “why is this happening to me” to “okay, that’s actually kinda fun.”
It’s also one of those events where a small power bump can be the difference between messy clears and comfy full stars—so if you’re already close and just want smoother runs (or fewer retries), topping up a little can genuinely feel worth it. If you do decide to recharge, LDShop is a convenient way to grab what you need and get right back to cooking comps instead of stalling your momentum.
